According to financial advisers whom we interviewed, typical asset-management fees can vary. Michael Alexenko, who is a chartered financial analyst at Royal Asset Managers, says 0.75 percent to 1.25 percent is the typical range for asset management, plus trading costs that are passed along to the investor.
